PARTICIPANT TESTIMONIALS

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time over the past 3 months at WildComm and I have definitely gained valuable experience and knowledge that will stay with me throughout my career.

I enjoyed seeing the different species on the camera traps from the mongoose and baboons to the genets, civets and leopards. If you were to ask me what my favourite part was I would say all of it from going out in the field collecting data to the slow days where not much data was collected, but my overall favourite part was seeing the rhino whether that was when I was out in the field or on the camera traps.

The entire team were very welcoming and accommodating of my needs and abilities both in camp and out in the field. They taught me so much and have opened me up to different foods, such as pap, shakshuka and bobotie.

I would definitely recommend WildComm to anyone wanting to start out or to gain valuable experience within conservation.”

“Coming to South Africa to work with WildComm is definitely a once-in-a-lifetime valuable experience for anyone interested in wildlife conservation and management. The staff and accommodations are efficient and students will most certainly learn new skills, methods, and newfound gratitudes during a stay.

The research is vital, fresh, and engaging, with flexible operations and something for everyone to enjoy, especially at their own pace. I highly recommend this experience for anyone on the fence, and to urge them to take the chance on receiving an excellent time and a glimpse into the beauty of South Africa.”
